Parent Resource Center

The Parent Resource Center will distribute educational material that supports the Common Core State Standards and supports parents in making learning fun this summer.  A limited amount of materials will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.  Once those packets have been disbursed, they will not be replenished.  Students must currently be enrolled in a Caddo Parish public school.  Materials will be distributed in the following manner:

3rd - 5th Grade


6th - 8th Grade

Athletic Banquet

It is time for Keithville Middle School's 2012 - 2013 Athletic Awards Banquet.  Our banquet is Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in the KMS Eagles' Nest and Auditorium.  During this event, we will recognize the achievements of our softball, football, basketball, cheerleading, and track teams.  Student athletes eat free, and tickets at the door will be $15.00.

Summer School Remediation (4th/8th-LEAP)

Summer school remediation in Caddo Parish is available to 4th and 8th grade students who fail to meet the Basic/Approaching Basic requirement on the English Language Arts or Mathematics LEAP tests.  If a student fails to pass the LEAP requirements, they are able to attend summer school at one of the Caddo sites based on the student's home address.  LEAP remediation is scheduled June 3 - June 27, 2013, Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-12:35 p.m.

Summer School (5th-8th Grade Fee)

A fee summer school will be available to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who need one credit for promotion to the next grade or who need to strengthen their skills.  See Mr. Edwards (middle) or Mrs. Everett (elementary) for eligibility.  The fee summer school will be held at Turner Elementary/6th Grade Academy.  Registration is Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at the Turner library from 2:30 -5:30 p.m.  The fee for Caddo Parish students is $250.  Cash, cashier's check, and money orders must be made payable to Caddo Parish Public Schools.  No personal checks are accepted.  Students may enroll in one class, and transportation is NOT provided.  Classes are held Monday through Thursdays (no Friday classes) from 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. beginning Monday, June 3rd and ending Tuesday, June 25, 2013.  All courses require written approval from the student's principal and the form must be turned in when the student registers.
